Robert attended the University of Toronto where he obtained an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree. He went on to obtain his law degree from the State University of New York.


Robert is licensed to practice law in the states of Florida, New York and the province of Ontario. He is a member of the Florida Bar and the Law Society of Ontario.

About John K. Carter, Founder and Special Counsel to the Firm

JOHN K. CARTER, ESQ

John K. Carter has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, which includes working for a law firm (Skadden Arps), a federal regulator (SEC), and leading companies (Franklin Resources, Citigroup, and Transamerica).


With this wealth of experience, John helps clients, big or small, to resolve their legal issues. John provides consulting to companies on a host of issues, including acquisitions, outsourcing, vendor selection, systems integration, governance issues, industry trends, and product development. John also serves as an independent director of a growing mutual fund complex.


Previously, John served as Chairman, President, and CEO of a $50 billion asset management company consisting of approximately 120 funds and 35 investment

sub-advisers. John served as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer prior to being promoted to the helm of the asset management company.


John graduated with a B.S. in Commerce from the McIntire School of Commerce of the University of Virginia, where he concentrated in Finance. He received a law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he was a member of the Managing Board of the Virginia Tax Review.


He is a member of the Florida Bar, the District of Columbia Bar, the State Bar of Wisconsin, and the Virginia State Bar. John also completed his Master of Theology from Saint Leo University, Dade City, Florida.

About Heather Kelley, Associate Attorney

HEATHER KELLEY, ESQ

Originally from Southeast Florida, Heather attended Auburn University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Fine Art degree in Graphic Design. She then attended Florida A&M University College of Law in downtown Orlando, earning a Juris Doctor with a Certificate in Human Rights and Global Justice Studies.


Having also spent time living and working overseas with the United States Department of State, Heather gained professional experience working with the foreign diplomatic community and liaising with relevant parties.


Her extensive travels outside of the United States have taken her to Asia, Europe, and South America. Her diverse education and international professional background have provided her with immersive opportunities to connect with people of different cultures and perspectives, highlighting her desire to prioritize client satisfaction and peace of mind.


Heather is currently licensed to practice law in Florida.
